PAJU – timeless upholstery fabric inspired by the graphic movement of nature
PAJU is a graphic upholstery fabric from the Annala collection, designed by Eeva Mela. The pattern draws inspiration from the bare branches of autumn willow trees and their delicate movement in the wind. The design combines a calm natural rhythm with a timeless graphic expression, bringing subtle character to modern interiors.
PAJU is available in a black-and-white colourway as well as a soft beige-and-white version. Both colour options come in larger and smaller scale patterns, allowing the fabric to suit different furniture styles and interior proportions. The fabric is reversible, making both sides suitable for visible upholstery use.
This durable, high-quality upholstery fabric is ideal for sofas, armchairs, ottomans, dining chairs and other home furniture, as well as public interiors such as hotels, restaurants, lounge areas and lobbies. PAJU combines Finnish design, nature-inspired pattern making and lasting upholstery quality for contemporary interiors.
No finishing agents or other chemical additives have been added to the fabric.
The fabric is designed and manufactured in Finland.
The fabric is cut to the length ordered by the customer. Therefore, this product is not covered by the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under consumer protection legislation.

On a crisp autumn day, my attention was captured by a solitary willow tree without leaves, leaning gracefully into the gentle late-autumn breeze. Stripped of summer greenery, the tree revealed its true soul – its rugged yet refined trunk and graphic form outlined against the sky like a delicate pencil drawing.
The bare branches, swaying softly in the wind, created a hypnotic movement that lingered in my mind long afterwards. In their fragile stillness there was something deeply moving and soulful. It was precisely this quiet moment and the willow’s understated elegance that became my inspiration."
