Puisto – upholstery fabric for public spaces | Annala x Young Finnish Design

Puisto is a modern and minimal upholstery fabric, part of the Annala x Young Finnish Design collection. The fabric is designed by Tomi Laukkanen, whose work emphasizes functionality, visual clarity, and ecological thinking.

The pattern of Puisto is inspired by abstract forms of trees and shrubs, creating a forest-like composition. Within the grey-toned design, shapes resembling stones of different sizes can also be perceived. The result is a minimalist yet bold and expressive pattern.

The fabric is particularly striking on larger surfaces, such as sofas, where the pattern can fully unfold. At the same time, it works as a visual focal point in smaller interior elements like cushions.

Puisto is well suited for public interiors—including restaurants, hotels, and waiting areas—as well as residential use. Its balanced aesthetic makes it easy to integrate into a wide range of interior styles.

Availability and ordering
Available in small quantities in the color shown in the online store. Other color combinations and scaled patterns are woven to order per project (minimum order 20 m).
