Talvilintuset (The winter birdies) – upholstery fabric for public spaces | Annala x Young Finnish Design

Talvilintuset is a detailed and atmospheric upholstery fabric, part of the Annala x Young Finnish Design collection. The fabric is designed by Jenna Nelson, whose work draws inspiration from the richness and organic flow of nature.

The pattern is inspired by northern landscapes and the many bird species that bring them to life. The result is a soft yet lively design that creates a calm, nature-inspired atmosphere with a refined touch.

The pattern repeat runs horizontally, allowing larger surfaces—such as sofa backs—to be upholstered in one continuous piece without seams. This makes the fabric particularly well suited for applications where a clean and unified look is desired.

Talvilintuset works beautifully in both public interiors and residential settings. It is also ideal for decorative cushions and other textile elements, adding a touch of natural elegance to the space.

The fabric is also used in hospitality interiors, including as a headboard fabric in one of Finland’s most highly regarded hotels.

Availability and ordering
Available in small quantities in the colors shown in the online store. Other color combinations are woven to order per project (minimum order 20 m).
